I snapped this picture as I was walking through the house the other night. It’s special to me, because it is a beautiful representation of both of my sons and their diversity. One of my sons loves computers (there is a laptop under the shoes). The other son loves sports and athletics (those are his tennis shoes). They are both so different, yet I have overwhelming love for both of them. The picture is a reminder to me of my sons, but it also reminds me of God and the way that He loves us.
Ephesians 2:10 says that we are God’s workmanship or his masterpiece- created anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago (my paraphrase). In other words, God considers you his masterpiece! You are perfect- just as you are! You are not a mistake, nor is anything about you!
Part of your identity in Christ is the fact that you are God’s masterpiece created perfectly for the work that He has for you. This is true even though the world would have you believe something contrary to this idea.
Today, when you see a computer or a pair of tennis shoes.. I hope that you will remember your identity in Christ. . .
YOU are HIS beautiful MASTERPIECE!!!
Have a great day Masterpieces!! :)!
