Your Identity in Christ Bible Study Day five

Today’s scripture comes from Romans 5:6-8.  The verse states,”When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.  Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

The scripture tells us that while we were at our worst, God gave us His very best. Even while we were lost in our sin, God sent Jesus to die for us!

Sometimes we go through life believing that God can’t love us.  We might believe that we’re not good enough or we’ve made too many mistakes.  However, the Bible tells us that even while we were sinners, God gave us the best present ever… he sent Jesus to take our punishment and save us.

God knows who you are and he knows what you’ve done.  Regardless of your past, God loves you with an unconditional love.

Today I pray this prayer for you as Paul did in Ephesians:

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God” (Ephesians 3: 18-19).

I pray that you will understand your worth today!
