Healing our Hurt Places Bible Study Day One

This week’s Bible Study is about healing the hurt places in our lives.  The Bible tells us that Jesus’ death on the cross brings healing to every part of us- not only the physical and  emotional parts, but even our relationships.

Today’s verse is probably my most favorite in the Bible.  Isaiah 53:5 says, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”  The word for peace comes from the Hebrew word “shalom” and means wholeness in every part of your life.  Jesus died so that you could receive wholeness in body, mind, relationships, finances, and more.  Whatever your hurt or wound, when Jesus died on the cross, the healing of it was completed at that moment.

Today, I would like you to consider the question, “In what areas do I need healing?”  Ask God for His touch in those areas. The Bible tells us that we receive the promises of God  by faith (check out Romans 4 and II Corinthians 1:20). Faith means “complete trust in someone or something.”

Meditate on Isaiah 53:5 today, believing that it is your promise!  Now, leave a comment below with your insight into today’s verse!  :)!

Thanks for participating!  :)!

Love ya!
